   History

The empire of goodness is always built up on a strong foundation.It was in the year 1954 that Happy English School Education Society laid the foundation for Happy English school with an aim to provide children better educational opportunities in East Delhi. The Prominent among these schools are Bharat National Public School at Ram Vihar run by Bharat National Public School Society.

 

   Infrastructure

Bharat National Public School, Ram Vihar and Happy English School,Sharad Vihar ,are housed in their own premises spreading over an area of 4.00 acres and 1.05 acres respectively. The school campus, having an excellent layout, is supported by an academic complex, constructed beautifully. The three story complex consists of spacious class rooms, auditorium ,well-stocked library, Science laboratories and a big hall for indoor games and academic activities.Big lawn and large play ground exist on the front as well as rear side of the institutional complex.Happy English School at Sharad Vihar is also having the facility of Swimming pool for the students.

 

   SCHOOL RULES

1.  Each student must carry his almanac and identity card to school every day.

2 A student should affix his/her photograph and write the required information, duly signed by a parent, in the space provided for in the almanac.

3.  Students who come to school on their own should reach by 7:55a.m.

4. Students are not allowed to bring mobile phone or wear gold ornament in school. If they do so, it will be confiscated and students will be friend Rs. 500/- for the same.

5. Changing of classroom between periods should be done in an orderly manner and silently. Students should not unnecessary leave their class at the end of every period.

6. Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all Students who are slovenly dressed or not in uniform will be sent home. Wearing low waist trousers/skirts is forbidden.

7. All boys (except Sikhs) must keep their hair shorts. Girls must tie their hair neatly with a black band in single.

8. No books, slam books (other than text books or library books), magazines or paper should be brought to the school.

9. Leading or borrowing of money or other articles is not allowed.

10. Students who come to school escorted should never leave before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office. 11. Students are expected to respect school property. No student should damage any school Furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Any school property damaged even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the co-coordinator or the headmistress.

12. BNPS students should invariably be polite wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences.

13.  Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments such as knives, etc. to the school or any kind of object than can cause injury to others.

14. Students are advised to keep their class room, school building and campus as clean as possible, and throw leftovers into the dustbins only.

15.  The school is not responsible for goods or money lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches or Fountain pens) to school.

16.BNPS provides education form Nursery to Class XII. Therefore, it is expected that the juniors be treated with love and affection, while the juniors show all respect to their senior.

17. Fees can be paid by cheque/draft/cash within the stipulated time.

18. No student is allowed to visit any of the kiosks situated outside the school in school uniform and if found doing so, he will be subjected to punishment.

19. Student including in aggressive or violent behavior, will not be allowed to travel by school bus.

20. A permission card signed by the teacher (in charge of a period) must be carried by a child going to the Medical Rom for treatment.

21. Canteen facility is only available in break time or after the school is over. I there is an emergency, children can avail of this facility with the concerned teacher’s card (permission slip).

22. Students should not indulge in violent, destructive activates or they will be subjected to punishment.

23. Students will not boycott the orders directions and instructions given to them by the school authorities. Though they are allowed to discuss any issue openly in the openly in the open Student-Principal Meet.

24. Students using unfair means during examination will face disciplinary action as decided by the school authorities.

25. No attendance would be given to a student during period of suspension.

26. Students with improper hair style or hair cut will not be permitted in school premises. Use of hair gel is not allowed.

27. Students are forbidden to bring crackers, explosives and other dangerous materials to school.

28. A student’s name will be struck off the rolls if he/she remains absent from school for six continuous days without any information.

29. Every student must have minimum 90% of attendance to school (unless medically advised rest) to appear in all examination and to be promoted to the next class.

30. Students suffering from any infectious/contagious disease will be allowed to attend the school only after producing the fitness certificate from proper medical authority.

31. From class v onwards students are not allowed to carry birthday cakes to school. They should also come in proper school uniform.

32.  Students are not allowed to wear or bring fancy and costly items to the school. Girl students shall not use nail polish, mehendi, etc.

33.  School rules can be changed without prior notice or reason.

Punishment criteria

 

1. Blue card: Blue card will be issued for violation of any rule.

2. Yellow card: Repition of the offense would incur the penalty of suspension indicated by issue of yellow card.

3. Red card: Red card would result in the rustication of the student from the school.

 

Examination Rules

1. Reappearing charges will be Rs 100/- per subject. This will be conducted on Friday, the same week.

This will apply for U.T. for classes 9 Th & 11 Th.  

2 Due to illness, if student is unable to appear in exams, medical certificate along with application should be submitted to class teacher or examination in-charge.
